With just one race to go, most of the story of this World Youth ISAF RS: X Cahmpionship has now been written, Kieran Martin (Great Britain) and Yunxiu Lu (China) are the ISAF Youth World Champions!
Kieran has shown great concentration during the whole event marking an incredible sequence od results never below the 4° on 12 runs. The Chinese on the other hand had to put on the water an incredible last 2-days (3-2-2-2-1-1) to win the battle with her direct opponent who, unfortunately, was our Marta Maggetti. Lu Yunxiu brought to China the first medal ever won by his country in a World Cup ISAF.
Marta, although she’s now sure of a medal (can not be reached by American Lepert), has to defend the second place by the Dutch Wennekes (actually third)
Speaking about the Italy Team, Daniele Benedetti has not confirmed in the fourth day the results of the previous day and now he’s 6° with a very little hope to reach a final 4th. The Silver medal is almost certain to go to Tugaryev (Ukr) white the battle for 3° is still open for Furmawski (Pol), Berenguer (Mex) and Rafic (Isr).
